A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience where you lie down and "bathe" in soothing sound waves.
Using instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, and chimes, a practitioner creates calming vibrations that help quiet the mind, reduce stress, and promote deep physical relaxation
There are numerous health benefits to experiencing a sound bath including calming the nervous system, reducing stress and alleviating anxiety. The gentle vibrations, produced by the sounds, relax the mind and promote a sense of inner calm.
In addition to this, the sound vibrations induce a state of deep relaxation which can help individuals to achieve a more restful and rejuvenating sleep, leading to increased energy levels and overall well-being
The experience begins with participants either lying down or sitting, in a comfortable position - whatever is best for the individual.
After a short guided meditation, combining some breathwork, mindfulness and deep reflective techniques, the remainder of the experience is filled with different sounds and frequencies being introduced in succession.
The sounds are created by a variety of overtone-emitting instruments including Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, chimes and a variety of therapeutic percussion
We provide a mat and small cushion, but we would recommend bringing a blanket and perhaps another cushion or pillow - essentially anything to add to your own personal comfort
We would recommend wearing relaxed, comfortable clothing
Details of upcoming sound bath sessions can be found on our Facebook page
Individuals with epilepsy, pacemakers or metal implants, severe mental health conditions (like schizophrenia), or in their first trimester of pregnancy should consult a doctor first, as vibrations and sound frequencies can trigger symptoms or interfere with devices
